A Dining Room Connected to the Heart of the Home

We reworked the wall between this Voorhees dining room and kitchen to widen the entry, installed real hardwood floors and added recessed lighting.

The Transformation

This Voorhees dining room was remodeled together with the home's kitchen and living room. We closed half of the old wall between the dining room and kitchen and opened the other side a little more, creating a wider entry to the kitchen.

The floor came up to the subfloor, and we installed new real hardwood over it. Recessed lighting brightens the room, and decorative wood posts and a beam frame the wider opening.

The result is a dining room that feels connected to the kitchen, with plenty of room for cooking, eating and having people over.
