The Transformation
This primary bathroom started as a dated space built around a vessel sink and a marble-tile shower that had outlived its style. The homeowners wanted something that felt less like a bathroom and more like a retreat — so we took it back to the studs and started over.
The centerpiece is a frameless glass steam shower, finished in full-height charcoal stone with a wood-grain porcelain accent wall for warmth against all that dark tile. Gold fixtures carry through the space, from the shower hardware to the faucet on the new floating fluted-wood vanity. A built-in shelving unit with backlit LED strips replaces what used to be a standard medicine cabinet — towels, toiletries, everything has a place, and it's lit well enough to actually find them in the morning. A pocket door was added to save floor space without sacrificing privacy, and the whole room is finished off with a smart toilet.
None of it would hold up without what's underneath it, though — before a single finish tile went in, the shower got a full Schluter waterproofing system and Ditra heated-floor prep, so this bathroom is built to last as long as it looks good.
